MEET THE TEAM

Principal

SUSSAN LARI, AIA

Sussan Lari, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with two master’s degrees, and the University of Tehran’s School of Architecture, founded Sussan Lari Architect PC in 1992. With over 32 years of experience, she has successfully led her firm in completing more than 80 high-end residential projects in the tristate area.

Prior to founding her firm, Sussan was the only woman vice president in charge of design at The Eggers Group, P.C., where she contributed to several award-winning projects. She served as president of the Long Island Chapter of the AIA in 2000 and is a member of notable institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and MOMA.

Incorporating mindfulness and principles of wellness into her practice, Sussan emphasizes holistic design approaches that promote wellbeing & health. This perspective not only enhances her creative process but also fosters environments that support the physical and mental wellbeing of her clients, making a lasting positive impact on their lives.

Project Manager

RICARDO OSTOLAZA

Ricardo is a creative problem solver passionate about design and technical detailing. Since 2014, he has led production and project management at Sussan Lari Architect PC, overseeing all phases of the firm’s work from concept design through construction. He collaborates closely with a diverse network of consultants and craftsmen, bringing invaluable insights to the design and construction process.

Before embarking on his architectural career, Ricardo was a touring recording artist. This unique background has shaped his creativity and adaptability, allowing him to bring a distinct perspective to his architectural work. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing architectural licensure.

Business Manager

ASHLEY MATONE

Ashley Matone is the Business Manager at Sussan Lari Architect PC, having joined the firm in 2019. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Construction Technology, she brings a wealth of diverse experience to the team.

Her expertise spans construction office management, project management, off-site administration, and cost analysis of both residential and commercial projects. Additionally, Ashley has a background in media and retail management, demonstrating her ability to thrive in dynamic environments. With a proven track record of delivering results, she is committed to supporting the firm’s growth and operational efficiency. Outside of her daily work routine, she enjoys her passion for photography and is currently pursing a degree in architecture.
