"My family and I have worked with Sussan Lari for close to 15 years, collaborating on multiple projects including our family home in Brookville, Long Island and a large loft-style apartment in Chelsea, Manhattan. We were initially introduced to her by a great stroke of luck as she was the architect on the lot we purchased to build our family home. As most do, we quickly fell in love with Sussan as a person and her talent as a professional and were eager to build our new home with her. Throughout the process, she continued to surpass our expectations in all areas, especially, her dedication, attention to detail and ability to help us realize our dreams.
During our first project with Sussan, we were working with a vacant lot and had the opportunity to personalize the design to suit our wants and needs. Her company’s attention to detail fully encompass a full-scale design firm including indoor and outdoor layout, lighting, masonry, pergola, landscaping and garden. Not only did she provide the architectural layout as is expected from designers, but she was also fully present and on site from the very start of construction through the selection of the furniture. Embracing the project as if it were her own home, her innate devotion and passion are transparent and clearly distinguishes her from the rest.
Her keen eye, impeccable taste and knowledge of all things design (including internal structures and aesthetic) allows her to tap into all different types of styles and motifs, free of limitations, in both creativity and functionality. In all honesty, there is nothing her firm cannot do. Sussan and her team are incredibly hands’ on, and thankfully involved in all aspects of the design.
She would always guide us in the right direction, and we never underestimated her firm’s professional expertise. Working closely together on all of the details, Sussan always made sure our needs were met meanwhile perfectly translating them to a practical living space; yet was always honest if something needed to be altered for a polished execution.
After all of these years, Sussan has truly become family and not only do we trust her as a dear friend yet also feel safe our visions will be carried out beautifully in her hands. We have continued to be impressed by Sussan and will always work with her and her firm on any future endeavors we may have, and confidently recommend her to all of our family and friends."
